Team Associated RC8T4e Team Competition 1/8 4WD Off-Road Electric Truggy Kit w/Gearbox UpgradeThe RC8T4e is a 1:8 scale electric truggy designed for high-performance off-road racing. It features an innovative front-end geometry with reduced kingpin inclination steering blocks, placing the wheel pivot in the center of the front tire for increased stability and consistent steering throughout the steering throw. The truggy is equipped with Revised gearboxes specific to the front and rear, including a front gearbox with a 3.5-degree inclined pinion gear angle to straighten the center driveshaft, enhancing drivetrain efficiency and reducing phasing and vibration. Additionally, it boasts an updated rear wing with more vertical fins for increased straight-line stability and a taller rear wickerbill height for increased downforce. The RC8T4e also offers adjustable rear wing angle shims and a updated rear chassis brace with multiple flex options, allowing for customization to suit various track conditions.Revised GearboxThe Revised gearboxes are uniquely designed for the front and rear, optimizing drivetrain performance and durability. The front gearbox features a 3.5-degree inclined pinion gear angle, which straightens the center driveshaft, reducing vibration and improving efficiency. The rear gearbox maintains a 0-degree pinion angle, ensuring stability and durability under high loads. Both gearboxes incorporate larger bearings, extending the lifespan of the ring and pinion gears while enhancing overall drivetrain smoothness. These upgrades result in a more efficient, reliable, and responsive driving experience.Chassis BraceThe Revised rear chassis brace enhances durability and offers multiple flex tuning options for optimized performance. Centrally mounted to the gearbox, it reduces material fatigue, centralizes shear forces, and improves drivetrain longevity. Three mounting configurations allow for different levels of chassis flex: maximum rigidity with both screws, moderate flex with one screw in the long location, and maximum flex with one screw in the short location. Additionally, the upper brace joint provides two tuning options—using molded inserts to limit twisting or an optional turnbuckle ball for multi-directional flex. A removable insert further fine-tunes flexibility, giving racers the ability to adjust chassis response to suit various track conditions.Suspension and Body MountThe Revised front shock tower design is 2mm taller and features updated suspension geometry and body mount positions, allowing compatibility with all types of truck bodies. It supports a single centered body post mount for “bruggy” style bodies or two offset body post mounts for traditional “truggy” bodies. Additionally, it includes a top plate-mounted body post for bodies that use “buggy” front end mounting points. The design also incorporates longer shock shafts (35.5mm front, 44.5mm rear) and adjustable shock rod ends ( 0mm, 2mm, and 4mm) for fine-tuning droop and up-travel based on shock positions.
